Education and Locations: Born in the United States. Graduated from Yale University (New Haven, Connecticut, USA) with a degree in Chemical Engineering. Earned a Master's degree from the Yale School of Music and an Artist Diploma from The Juilliard School (New York City, New York, USA).
Background: Began piano studies at age four. His early musical education was supervised by his grandmother, Edith Ratinova, a former faculty member of the Gnessin School of Music in Moscow, Russia.
Awards: Laureate of international piano competitions, including the US National Chopin Competition (2nd Prize), the Montreal International Musical Competition (3rd Prize), the Ferruccio Busoni International Piano Competition (2nd Prize), and the Ricard Viñes International Piano Competition (1st Prize).
